1. Susan re-enters the workforce.

Issue: Stay-at home mom Susan always dreamed of being an accountant.  When her youngest child entered Middle School, Susan felt it was time to pursue her professional goals but met resistance from her husband and her three children.  At the time Susan began coaching, a high degree of tension was present in her household, including threats of divorce.

Coaching Process: Coaching helped Susan identify the conflict between her dream and her expectations.  Once she realized that her parents and her husbands parents had strictly followed the stay-at-home model, Susan began a step-by-step process to move beyond her self-imposed constraints and open herself to her dreams.  Major milestones included a new understanding with her mother and a life-changing conversation with her husband.

Results: Seven months after beginning her coaching, Susan began work as an accountant at a respected local furniture supplier.  Pursuing her dream offered contagious results. The family adjusted to her work hours and developed a new sense of teamwork.  Six months after Susan started work, her husband John resigned from a stressful, unsatisfying job position and started work with a company that offered him more money in a position that he enjoys.

Coaching Value: Most people develop powerful patterns to help us succeed at our ordinary living.  To live an extraordinary life, we must move beyond our ordinary patterns so we can create the life we love.  A coach will help you discover your present constraints and work with you as you realize new possibilities.

2. Raising One Million Dollars

Issue: John, a hospital radiologist signed on for coaching after a beloved doctor died in a tragic accident.  This doctor had been trying to create a new hospital in India and died before completing the project.  John felt a desire to complete the hospital project and sought coaching to achieve this goal.

Coaching Process: John brought passion to his goal.  Coaching brought clarity and feedback to his vision.  Having never worked in a non-profit organization, nor ever asked for fundraising money, John worked out a variety of fundraising approaches to try.  Coaching helped John overcome the NO's he heard and to learn from the YES's that he received.  Coaching helped John become comfortable in his new role, along with developing a high-degree of effectiveness in a short time.

Results: One year after beginning his coaching, John has raised $650,000 of the one million needed for the new hospital.  John is now on the board of directors of the non-profit in charge of the new hospital.  John plans to work for another half-year at the hospital before becoming a full-time Director of Fund-Raising for the non-profit.

Coaching Value: Stepping into a new dream can feel like a huge risk.  John's coach helped keep his vision clear while sharpening his skills as he gained experience.  As he began to experience successes John considered and embraced possibilities he'd never before envisioned, providing non-profit leadership in an area that matched his passion for making a difference.
